Cavan wetlands
The haunting call of the whooper swan is one of the joys of Cavan in autumn and winter.
Thousands of duck and swans winter in the cavan wetlands . If you dont have any I can provide optical equipment and well see what we can find
Lakeland woodlands
Surrounding the lakes are many protected areas of native woodland. In spring and early summer these are rich in song includuing garden warblers.
Walks and activities with Heather would be about two hours and outdoor footwear would be required. I can tailor to your interests and time.
Evening chorus and moth nights
Have you every heard sky goat or looked for mancreepers?
some creatures are crepuscular only becoming apparent at dusk or dawn.Come looking for snipe , woodcock moths and newts.
